Dr. Olha Chernovol is an accomplished researcher who has made significant contributions to the field of law. She earned her PhD from the prestigious V.M Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, where she developed a keen interest in the history of law, legal duties of citizens, theoretical models of legal provision and implementation, and anti-corruption policies.

In addition to her academic research, Dr. Chernovol has an impressive track record in legal practice. She has worked extensively with civil law, corporate law, criminal law, and more, gaining valuable experience and insights into the legal system. Her expertise in these areas has been recognized through her authorship of 17 papers, including six articles published in scientific journals in Ukraine. Her most recent publication, "Anti-corruption Policy in the Baltic-Black Sea Region", is a testament to her expertise in organizational criminal liability and anti-corruption measures.

Despite facing numerous challenges in her career, including those brought about by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Dr. Chernovol has demonstrated remarkable perseverance and resilience. Currently, she is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Ottawa, collaborating with Dr. Jennifer Quaid on a research project exploring non-trial resolutions in anti-corruption prosecutions. Funded by a special response fund for researchers from Ukraine, Dr. Chernovol's work on this project aims to identify ways of improving Canadian legislation on remediation agreements to better guard against possible corruption risks.

In addition to her research work, Dr. Chernovol is passionate about sharing the practical results of her research with others in the field. She hopes to present her findings at university seminars and academic conferences, contributing to improving anti-corruption policies and practices globally. By sharing her expertise and findings with others, Dr. Chernovol is making a significant impact in law.

Olha Chernovol was a successful lawyer and scholar with a Ph.D. in Law who left Kyiv in March 2022 due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. She is completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Ottawa in Canada. She works with Professor Jennifer Quaid on research exploring non-trial resolutions in anti-corruption matters.
