Voices Launch Event with Ali Mirzad

The Human Rights Research and Education Centre (HRREC) is pleased to partner with Associate Professor Nadia Abu-Zahra, Joint Chair in Women's Studies - University of Ottawa and Carleton University, and Neuberger-Jesin Professor John Packer, HRREC Director, in the launch of the initiative VOICES.

Ali Mirzad – an Ottawa based activist – is Senior Advisor with the Canadian Hazara Humanitarian Services (CHHS), a group advocating for the human rights of the Hazaras of Afghanistan. CHHS is a not-for-profit organization that aims to provide hope, support and resources to community members, with a focus on serving newcomers and the most vulnerable and marginalized members of society.
