Muguleta Tedla is a Tigrayan-Canadian activist and academic, chairing the Association of Tigrean Communities in Canada (ATCC). His activism is deeply personal, having been a political prisoner in Ethiopia during the Derg regime, which led to his refugee status and eventual resettlement in Canada through the World University Service of Canada. At the University of Windsor, he pursued a master's degree in mathematics.

In Canada, Tedla has been pivotal in fostering the Tigrayan community in Windsor and has engaged in developmental projects such as the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. With the onset of the Tigray conflict on November 4, 2020, his focus shifted to advocating for Tigrayan people's rights and welfare.

Tedla leads the ATCC in amplifying the Tigrayan diaspora's voice, organizing advocacy campaigns, and pushing for international intervention in the conflict. He is a staunch advocate for the continuation of humanitarian aid to Tigray and the withdrawal of foreign forces from the region. Beyond advocacy, he is committed to integrating Tigrayan refugees into Canadian society and the educational advancement of Tigrayan youth.
